Unitron developed a new Bluetooth protocol for the Discover Next Range which enables Discover Next devices in theory to connect to any Bluetooth device. This means nearly all phones, tablets and PC.
Unitron Discover Next also allows for true hands-free use of a mobile, keep your phone in your pocket and answer your phone call by pressing a button on the hearing aid.
Discover Next has a rechargeable option with a built-in lithium battery. The battery will last a full day once charged.
The entry level product is called the Discover Next 3 and is designed for users with quiet lifestyles.
Discover Next runs on the Sword 3.0 chip which consists of 42 million transistors.
The chip runs the new SoundNav 3.0 software. SoundNav constantly scans the listening environment and then automatically adjusts the devices to maximise speech understanding no mater how challenging the listening environment.
The Sound Conductor feature ensures clear speech while reducing unwanted noise. Soft voices are given extra amplification with soft speech lift.
Speech Pro allows for real time stereo streaming between the hearing aids four microphone system, allowing the user to quickly locate the direction of speech.
The Unitron Discover range has uses Flex:Trial technology. A user can trial entry level technology and if they feel it does not meet their needs (in noise for example) they can Flex:Upgrade the hearing devices. The upgrade is a software update, new hearing aids do not need to be ordered.
Unitron Discover hearing aids can be controlled by the U Control app from your smartphone.

Roger Direct Compatible – Roger Direct Technology is built into Discover Next. This means Discover Next hearing aids can communicate directly with Roger suite of wireless microphones. Roger Microphones bridge the gap in hearing ability when in background noise present and where there is distance from speaker (more than 2m).
