Widex’s newest hearing aid is Widex Allure. It uses the new W1 chip, which incorporates several new technologies. The other hearing aids are Allure Superceedes, Widex Smart RIC, Widex Moment, Sheer Widex Moment, and Widex Evoke.

Widex is part of WSAudiology, a global player in the hearing aid industry. Headquartered in Lynge, Denmark, and with its operational base in Singapore, it was formed in 2019 through the merger of Widex and Sivantos. Sivantos was a business unit of Siemens until 2015.

Allure Model

Widex has released one model, the Allure RIC R D. It has a multifunctional push button and an LED light that offers information on whether the hearing aid is turning on, battery status, and whether Bluetooth pairing has been successful.

New Technology

The new W1 Chip increases processing power and speed. With integrated sing-chip architecture, Widex reports that the chip offers four times faster processing and four times more memory than the previous Widex Moment Chip. The integrated chip allows Widex to consolidate multiple features into a single component.

The W1 Chip allows for the new Widex Precision Hearing Technology operating system, which consists of the new features:

• Speech Enhancer Pro: As the name suggests, this feature aims to enhance speech in noisy environments by softening noise and boosting speech. The input signal is analysed using 52 bands to separate the speech from the noise accurately. Once the speech and noise signals are separated, Speech Enhance Pro optimises speech intelligibility, considering the wearer’s hearing loss and the listening environment.  Widex hopes Speech Enhance Pro will give users ‘Natural Clarity’  – a natural balance between the clarity of the speech of the and the awareness of the environment that you are in.
• Adaptive Dynamic Feedback Control is an adaptive frequency-shifting technology that varies by frequency, size, and speed, preventing feedback(whistling) without impacting sound quality. 
• Enhanced Sound Classifier: This divides the listening environment into 11 different classes. Once the listening environment is identified, the hearing aid automatically adjusts its features to maximise ‘natural clarity’.
• The Dedicated Streaming Processor provides a wider dynamic range when listening to streaming music from a compatible device.

Hearing Aid Colours

Widex Allure is available in the following colours: Titanium grey, tech black, silver grey, rose gold, pearl white, honey blonde, golden brown, chestnut brown, autumn beige, and dark cherry.

 

Bluetooth Wireless Accessories 

The RC-DEX remote control allows for wireless remote control of your hearing aids. It allows users to adjust the volume of the hearing aid and switch programs.

Widex TV Play 2 offers high-quality streaming from your television. It has also been designed to be compatible with future Widex hearing aid platforms using LE Audio.
