Bernafon Encanta Hearing Aids
The Bernafon Encanta Alpha XT hearing aid range was released in March 2024 and superseded the Bernafon Alpha XT RIC and BTE hearing aids. Previous Bernafon products include the Juna, Zerena, and Viron.
Bernafon is a Swiss-based manufacturer and part of the William Demant Group, including hearing aid manufacturer Oticon.
New Smaller Casing with Fast Charging and Double Tap
- New self-calibrating Receiver/Speaker wire.
- A newly designed casing is used to improve the comfort and positioning of the ear.
- Answer the phone by double-taping the hearing aid.
- Fast charging battery.
- Nanocoated to achieve an IP68 rating – the hearing aid has been tested to survive 30 minutes submersed in 1 metre of water.

- Encanta 100 Connect – for users who spend most of their time at home or in low-noise surroundings.
- Encanta 200 Go – for customers who rely on their hearing aids for speech understanding in noisy environments.
- Encanta 300 Engage—for active clients who want to converse with multiple speakers in background noise.
- Encanta 400 Pro – for customers who want the best sound quality and technology to support speech understanding in any environment.

Bernafon Encanta Colours
Encanta is available in Sand Beige, Stone Beige, Antique Bronze Cocoa Brown, Jet Black, Charcoal Grey, Metallic Silver and Pearly Silver.
New Desk Charger
Bernafon has chosen fast contact charging with Encanta. The new size 13 Lithium Ion battery will give up to 20 hours of battery life. When you need a recharge, drop your hearing aids in the charger:
- A full day of hearing aid use after one hour of charging.
- Four hours of power in just a 15-minute charge.
- Eight hours of power after just a 30-minute charge.

Bernafon smart sound processing is at the core of Bernafon audiology. It aims to provide a clear and natural sound, speech clarity, speech understanding in noise, and listening comfort.
Smart Amplification
Bernafon Smart Amplification – optimised to keep the natural speech patterns intact.
Broadband amplification for speech: Bernafon’s unique single-channel processing captures complex speech signals, accurately preserving the pitch and tone of the speaker’s voice.
24-channel amplification for noise – background noise signals can be separated from speech in 24 frequency channels.
Smart Noise Management
Smart Noise Management automatically adapts to the noise environment and your body movements to provide optimal speech understanding and listening comfort.
Smart Directionality – reduces noises located away from the talkers. It continuously adapts the microphones in each of the 24 frequency channels to increase speech understanding in noise.
Smart Noise Reduction – Using machine learning, Bernafon Encanta has been trained to recognise countless types of background noise. When recognised, the background noise is reduced.
Smart Sensor: This sensor recognises if the user’s head is still, turning left to right, or in motion and then applies the correct level of smart directionality and noise reduction.
Transition – Allows change to the levels of smart directionality and smart noise reduction applied.

Bernafon SoundClip-A – will pair with most Bluetooth-enabled devices and allow direct streaming from mobile phones, tablets and PCs. With its built-in remote microphone, you can also listen to people from a distance
Bernafon TV-A – Plugs into your TV and will stream stereo sound directly to your hearing aids.
Bernafon RC-A -A simple pocket-sized remote control that allows the user to change the volume of the hearing aid or program.
Sennheiser BTD800 Bluetooth dongle – Plugs into a USB port (PC) and will allow a wireless audio link to the Connect Clip.
